The Leavenworth-Lansing Area Chamber of Commerce regularly needs speakers for various events and programs. Members who are interested in the opportunity to share leading-edge ideas, inspire enlightening discussions and convey the fundamentals for growing business may submit a Speaker Proposal Form. Members may submit a proposal for multiple topics or programs. Opportunities vary in type of event and program, time of day and attendance size. Attendees may include local business professionals, as well as civic and community leaders.


Please keep in mind that this is not a promotional pitch for presenters, but an opportunity to showcase your particular area of expertise.

Preference is given to individuals who represent an organization or business who is a Chamber member in good standing.


Speaker responsibilities may include

  • Have competencies in high-quality, educational presentations and/or workshop and group activity facilitation tailored to specific target audience 
  • Provide practical learning/tips that audience members can employ in their business 
  • Arrive to presentation at least 15-minutes early to check technology setup and room layout 
  • Provide an opportunity to respond to questions and network with attendees post-event 
  • Coordinate with Chamber regarding any special equipment or speaker needs 
  • Ensure the session is not perceived as an infomercial

The Leavenworth-Lansing Area Chamber of Commerce regularly seeks proposals for host locations for various events and programs. Members who are interested in showcasing their space to the business community and hosting a Chamber event or program may submit a Host Proposal Form. Opportunities vary in type of event/program, time of day and attendance size. Attendees include local business professionals, as well as civic and community leaders. 

Process
The RFP process serves to identify potential host locations for Chamber events and programs. You will receive an email confirming receipt of your proposal. Submission of a proposal does not constitute an agreement by The Chamber to use your location. Chamber staff and event planning committees will contact host locations when applicable opportunities become available.


Host responsibilities may include (will depend on specific event or program needs)

  • Provide tasteful and appropriate space to accommodate business and community professionals that is secluded from outside traffic interruptions 
  • Provide food and table service including linens and centerpieces
  • Provide a designated area where presenters are visible to attendees, and provide for audio visual requirements
  • If your company is unable to provide the food, table service or audio visual, we ask that your company solicit other Chamber members to secure these for the event


Host sponsorship benefits may include

  • Opportunity to showcase your facility to business and community professionals in attendance 
  • Verbal recognition at event with opportunity for company representative to make brief remarks 
  • Company name/logo recognition in promotions and online event registration page
  • Receive complimentary registrations for your key staff to attend the event (number negotiated with Chamber staff)
